Use of the service
By using OmeBate, you agree to follow these terms, all applicable laws, and local regulations. You must be legally able to use online services in your country or region.
Account and access
Accounts are optional. If you create one, you are responsible for safeguarding your sign-in credentials and for activity under your account.
Acceptable conduct
No harassment, hate speech, threats, doxxing, illegal content, spam, impersonation, or attempts to abuse the platform. We may suspend or terminate access for violations.
Content you submit
When you participate in a debate, send messages, or otherwise submit content through OmeBate, you grant OmeBate a worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual, irrevocable licence to use, store, reproduce, modify, and distribute that content for any purpose, including commercial purposes, without further notice or compensation to you.
This licence covers debate transcripts, argument text, topic choices, reaction signals, and any other interaction data generated during your use of the platform.
Data collection and third-party licensing
OmeBate collects platform usage data including debate transcripts, topic preferences, session behaviour, device and browser information, and engagement signals. This data may be retained indefinitely and used to operate and improve the service.
OmeBate may licence or sell anonymised, aggregated, or pseudonymised datasets derived from platform usage to third parties, including artificial intelligence companies, research organisations, and commercial data partners, for purposes such as AI model training, language research, and behavioural analytics. Where data is shared in this way, it will not include your name, email address, or other directly identifying information unless you have separately consented.
By using OmeBate you acknowledge and agree to this data use. If you do not agree, you should not use the platform.
AI verdicts
AI verdicts are generated outputs and may be imperfect. They are for gameplay purposes and not legal, educational, or professional advice.
Premium and billing
Premium features may be offered as optional paid subscriptions when available. Billing is handled by Stripe, and plan availability or pricing may change over time.
Disclaimer and limitation of liability
OmeBate is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, OmeBate is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of OmeBate after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
